ABOUT COACH ROB
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I grew up in a single-parent household under the guidance of my mother—a woman who was both strict and loving. We didn’t have much, but she always reminded us of what we did have: our health, strength, and the ability to work toward something greater. Gratitude was non-negotiable, and she instilled in me a mindset that has shaped my life to this day— your mind can will you to do anything, but first, you must believe without any doubt.
That lesson stayed with me, not just in sports but in life. Now, as a coach, my passion lies in giving back to the next generation. Coaching started as a way to spend more time with my sons and their friends, but it’s became so much more. I was fortunate to have great men in my life who used sports to teach discipline, resilience, and character. Now, it's my turn to do the same.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in a balance of old-school discipline and a new-school approach—meeting young athletes where they are, helping them grow into who they can be. Feedback is key, and whether it’s positive or constructive, my players will always know where they stand and how to improve. Because in sports, just like in life, we don’t just show up—we get better every day.
